Security on the web is crucial when building a European initiative for a Human Internet that respects key values such as privacy, participation and diversity. With that in mind, EURid, the .eu registry, is hosting a virtual roundtable on 3 February to discuss the security framework that is needed for the Next Generation Internet.
The Next Generation Internet (NGI) Talk will be facilitated by NGI community ambassador Aljosa Pasic who will explain the security framework that is needed for the Next Generation Internet. Also participating will be EURid Security Manager, Dirk Jumpertz, along with other experts on online security from SIDN labs, who will be ready to answer questions.
The Next Generation Internet (NGI) is a European Commission initiative that aims to shape the development and evolution of the Internet into an Internet of Humans. An Internet that responds to people’s fundamental needs, including trust, security, and inclusion, while reflecting the values and the norms all citizens enjoy in Europe.
The virtual roundtable will be held on Wednesday, 3 February 2021 from 15:00 to 16:00 Central European Time.
