EURid Signs Up For’s RcodeZero DNS Anycast

EURid’s top level domains – .eu, the Cyrillic ею, and soon the Greek .ευ – are now using’s Anycast service RcodeZero DNS following extensive testing in recent months. The Austrian ccTLD manager’s Anycast service will ensure that the 3.6 million domain names under the 3 TLDs are more reliable, have shorter response times and are more secure. There are now at least 15 TLDs and over 13 million domain names using’s RcodeZero DNS.

Announcing the agreement between the 2 registry managers, noted that from their own experience as a TLD operator, they understand the importance of high levels of reliability and performance, shorter response times and maximum protection against DDoS attacks. There are benefits that can be achieved by using at least one secondary Anycast provider.

Leading up to the agreement between the 2 registries, a close relationship with the customer was developed enabling to add requested features to the RcodeZero DNS monitoring in record time. This was another important reason EURid chose RcodeZero DNS.
