Nic.ec, the .EC registry, has announced a promotion where .EC domain names cost just US$10 to register, with options for up to ten years for registrations seemingly available. The promotion for new registrations only runs from June 10 to 30.
The prices are a significant discount on the usual fees where one year registrations are $50 and $35 for ec, com.ec and net.ec domain names for one year for non-Ecuadorians and Ecuadorians respectively before any taxes are added.
Nic.ec is suggesting registrants consider registering company and product names across multiple second level domains such as com.ec as well as generic names for the activity of a companyâs business.
