CNNIC published the names of two domain name registrars – Shanghai Jinyue Network Technology Company and Suzhou Huayan Network Technology Company – who have been accused of sending intimidating emails to terrify Internet users to try to have them change their domain registrars, according to a report in China Tech News.CNNIC says it will verify the complaint reports and transfer them to the relevant criminal authorities. The article says “This is the first time that CNNIC has published a blacklist of registrar companies since July 24 when the Internet Address Registration Service Industry Self-discipline Convention was signed by more than 40 domestic domain name registrars.”
