CNN has made domain name stalwart Rick Schwartz a very happy man, paying US$750,00 for the domain names ireport.com and i-report.com according to a report in Domain Name Journal. CNN’s I-Reports are reports by CNN viewers posted on the I-Report section of their website.

According to Domain Name Journal’s list of publicly reported sales, a “$750,000 deal would have ranked among the 12 largest sales of 2007.” And I agree with Domain Name Journal’s comment that it “is also encouraging to see a major end user like CNN recognize the key role a domain name can play as the platform for launching a new product or service.”
