There six sales of .xyz domains by the Chinese West.cn in the top reported sales for the week ending 21 February, with 9.xyz topping the chart selling for $170,250. The third biggest sale was another .xyz domain â yy.xyz â while sandwiched in-between in second was gwh.com, sold for $57,306 through Sedo.
The sales came about following a registry auction of ultra-short .xyz domains on the West.cn platform last month.
Apart from the .xyz sales there were 11 .com sales, two for .org and one for .net. And on the aftermarket side of things, there were nine sales through Sedo as well as the six West.cn sales.
