CentralNic Acquires Domain Monetisation Company Codewise

CentralNic Group announced Friday it has entered into a conditional agreement to acquire the Polish-based domain name monetisation company Codewise and its businesses Zeropark and Voluum.

Codewise will enhance CentralNic’s domain monetisation offering, as well as introducing new online marketing tools to their suite of services for businesses. Codewise will continue to run independently under its current management with a new Board, next to Team Internet, their existing monetisation business acquired in December 2019.

“We are delighted that Codewise, Zeropark and Voluum, their platforms and technology, expert staff and business relationships are becoming part of CentralNic,” said Ben Crawford, CEO of CentralNic. “Added to our existing capabilities, the Acquisition makes us a clear global leader, combining two of the most technically advanced monetisation platforms in the domain name industry, and the formidable teams that built and run them.”

In announcing the acquisition CentralNic, which has over 45 million domain names using their platforms, said they are not planning any changes to staff, services or pricing at Codewise. The enlarged Group’s combined expertise and leading technologies is intended to help drive growth and innovation.

“This is an exciting day for our current and future joint customers as this acquisition is founded on natural technological and commercial synergies with CentralNic’s monetisation businesses, logically enabling the further expansion of an industry primary online advertising integrated stack which seamlessly consolidates in one place, demand and supply management, tracking and optimisation,” said Dr John Malatesta, CEO of Codewise, Zeropark and Voluum.

“The inherent business similarities between our companies will result in accelerated profitable growth to be reinvested in relentlessly elevated product and customer experiences. Lastly, having at heart the interest of the great women and men of Codewise, Zeropark, and Voluum, I could not think of any better family than CentraNic, whom, throughout the many successful acquisitions, is renowned for fully preserving professional and steering autonomy whilst realising business effective inclusion and integration.”
