.BAYERN Off To A Flying Start On First Day Of GA With 19,000 Registrations

The new gTLD aimed at the German state of Bavaria, .bayern, got off to a flying start this week, with 18,677 registrations on day one of General Availability, taking its total to 19,165, according to nTLDstats.com. General Availability commenced at 12:00 on 30 September.The start was even more notable, being the third largest day one General Availability launch of any city gTLD, behind .berlin with 31,731 and .london with 21,198 registrations.Bavaria is Germany’s largest state by area and second largest by population with around 12.5 inhabitants and whose capital is Munich.There are no eligibility restrictions on .bayern.
