Australian regulator green lights Telstra separation plan

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has accepted Telstra’s plan for structural separation, which is required for final approval of its participation in the National Broadband Network.ACCC chairman Rod Sims said Telstra had made several changes to the plan to split its wholesale and retail arms, following concerns raised by the watchdog, as the broadband industry moves to a wholesale-only network.To read this ABC News report in full, see:
