Australian internet users could have their online access curbed if a new trial launched in Britain last month takes hold here.The Australian entertainment industry wants internet service providers to act as file-sharing police and caution people who download illegal copies of films, TV shows and music via peer-to-peer networks.The Australian Federation Against Copyright Theft (AFACT), which represents movie studios, is calling on local ISPs to follow the example of British operators in issuing warning letters.
