Australian government moves on e-security as spy concerns increase

E-security will be brought under the federal Government’s umbrella as it seeks to boost protection against a surge in “foreign” spying on private and public networks.Responsibility for IT security is fragmented between agencies ranging from ASIO to the Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy, but a restructuring is expected soon, possibly as part of the next budget.
