Starting from September 29, 2015 nic.at has implemented a new procedure for registrar transfers for .at domains. It is similar to internationally known AuthInfo procedures.

What is new for domain holders?

If you want to transfer your domain to a new registrar, you now need an AuthInfo which you get from your current registrar.
Also, if you take over a domain from another domain holder and want to transfer it to another registrar you will need the AuthInfo.
