All websites that use a .za domain name are required to link back to the South African government’s Coronavirus information page, according to a regulation published in the Government Gazette on 26 March.
According to clause 5.1.4, “all internet sites operating within a .zaDNA top level domain name must have a landing page with a visible link to www.sacoronavirus.co.za.”
The regulations were made by Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams, who is the Minister of Communications in South Africa and a Member of the governing African National Congress under the Disaster Management Act of 2002.
In a detailed regulation that also outlines how government agencies should deal with the Coronavirus/Covid-19 pandemic sweeping the world, it also outlines how unmetered access must also be provide to local educational content websites by internet service providers.
