Aftermarket Booms Back Into Life

Domain Name Journal logoAfter a week of no blockbuster sales, the top end of the market came back with a bang to see two six-figure sales top the Domain Name Journal list of top reported sales for the week ending 23 February. One of them almost making seven figures.

The top seller was 100.com, which sold for $950,000 while second was 0060.com, which sold for CNY741,400 ($120,848) and third was webmeeting.com selling for $40,000. All three were sold in private sales.

On the aftermarket outlet, Sedo had a hand in nine sales while GoDaddy/Afternic another seven.

And on the TLD side of things .com was very dominant with 17 of the top 20 sales, while there was one each for .ca, cl and .org.
