From 8 December a Sunrise phase for rights holders will open for one and two character .fr domains Afnic has announced.
The Sunrise phase will close on 9 February 2015. A Landrush phase, from 16 February to 16 March will follow, then General Availability from 17 March. The first-come, first-served principle applies to all of these phases.
Applicants must comply with the .fr Naming Policy and with all the applicable registry policies.
For the time being, the other ccTLDs within the French namespace currently managed by Afnic (.re, .pm, .tf, .yt, and .wf) are not affected by the opening.
