AFNIC, the registry for .FR (France) and .RE (Reunion Island) has announced a new campaign to promote the .FR ccTLD in the media â print, TV and online â to promote the uses of a .FR domain name, personal and commercial.
The campaign will use the tagline â.fr â and thatâs the bottom line!â.
AFNICâs new multimedia communication campaign aims to remind and inform individuals and organisations of all the benefits that .FR has to offer. In particular, it emphasises the preference given to .FR by companies and individuals wanting to communicate in French to the French. It also highlights the uses associated with domain names – and in particular .FR domain names â through keys events in the protagonistâs life â first job, setting up a business, marriage, first child, hobbies etc.
This communication campaign will take three forms:
- a press advert, which will appear between 26 August and mid-October in publications such as Ãa mâintéresse, Capital, National Geographic, Science et Vie, lâEntreprise and TV Magazine
- Internet banners and a video to appear between 14 September and 18 October, on www.planet.fr, www.linternaute.fr, www.lejournaldesfemmes.fr, www.commentcamarche.net, www.lesechos.fr, www.tpe-pme.com, and the Blogbang network
- for the first time ever, a TV clip. From 14 to 27 September 2009, a 20-second spot will be shown more than 150 times on BFM and I-Télé at peak viewing times (6.00-9.00 am, 12.00-2.00 pm and 6.00-10.00 pm).
As an additional bonus, from 14 September, the campaignâs website, www.faites-vous-un-nom.fr, will be showing the whole of the 1 minute 30 second-film, giving an even more detailed presentation of the uses of the .FR domain name.
