International money launderers may be behind a recent spate of threatening SMS text messages, according to a senior information security analyst.
The Australian Communications and Media Authority has confirmed it had received complaints of widespread SMS messages containing death threats.
The messages read: "I am about to kill you. If you want to live, contact (hbko@pobox.sk) to get information on what you will have to do to live. If you ignore this message, you will die!"
