Apple agrees to pay $2.25m as Australian iPad 4G claim penalty

Apple has agreed to pay more than $2 million as penalty after admitting that labelling its new iPad as 4G-compatible was likely to mislead the public.
The Federal Court this morning heard the computer giant had agreed to settle a case brought by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission which alleged the new iPad could not access local 4G networks, despite being sold as the new iPad "with WiFi + 4G".
