Trip Advisor adds its voice to Europe's Google probe

Holiday review site Trip Advisor has joined the swelling ranks of firms complaining to the European Commission about Google.
It joins travel firm Expedia and 11 others in accusing the search giant of abusing its dominant position, a claim being investigated by the commission.
EU commissioner Joaquin Almunia said a decision would be made after Easter over whether to formally charge Google.
Google denies claims of "anti-competitive and unfair practices".

Google is under growing threat of being charged with stifling competition by the European Commission, after TripAdvisor became the latest in a string of companies to file a complaint against the search giant.
TripAdvisor has accused Google of anti-competitive and unfair behaviour, becoming the second travel company to do so in the past week after Expedia put forward its own concerns to European regulators.

Online travel site TripAdvisor has become the latest company to take aim at Google.
The company today filed an antitrust complaint against Google in the European Union, charging the search company with "anti-competitive and unfair practices...that harm the marketplace and consumer welfare." Bloomberg was first to report on the story.
