OLPC laptops promise a future in Doomadgee

Small, cheap, neon-green computers with perky "dingo ears" are helping to boost attendance, literacy and numeracy levels in one of Australia's most remote schools.

All of the more than 300 primary school children at Doomadgee, an Aboriginal community in northwest Queensland inland from the Gulf of Carpentaria, have their own laptop.
